In March 2020, I (like many Americans) was furloughed and lost my job. Social distancing due to the Covid-19 outbreak is currently affecting everyone and it is responsible for the good of mankind to stay in place and practice rigorus exposure protection techniques and thorough self care. I want to take a moment and share what's in store for Graceyfeet and the Gracey House of Design. But first, let me start with some thank yous.
A special thank you to Glen Hinshaw and the RESA Team for their amazing technology, guidence and support throughout my career. Another special thank you to Bill Hull, Chuck Grasmeder, and the entirety of physican, clinical, and administrative staff of OrthoBethesda and OrthoBethesda Physical Therapy for believing in me. Without my OrthoBethesda Family, I am incomplete. Thank you to the doctors in the DC/MD/VA areas who come to trust the ultra-high quality of customer service I strive to provide their patients. Lastly, to my patients from 1999 to now and beyond; Thank you for giving me the opportunity to live out my dream of making feet feel good by choosing me for your medical-grade orthotics and expert physical therapy care. This pandemic will end and I will return to orthotic care and physical therapy roles, fabricating orthotics and designing unique cushion materials as soon as I am allowed. I have created "The Good We Do" campaign and begun printing and donating public-domaine masks and shields using my RESAwear,LLC high-speed printers. I am proud that many DC/MD/VA essential workers, hospitals teams, and service families and friends in my world are receiving these much needed Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for free.
I and my family remain firm in our faith that the good we do for others in the present will be realized as an abundant future for everyone. The demand for community-grade PPE is at the highest it has ever been and I feel compelled to join the fight to "flatten the curve". It is with this hopefull heart (and an FDA mandate) I formulated my Anti-Microbial Body Sanitizer so as to continue the good we do for others. I used organic chemistry and a keen understanding of Covid-19 protein binding sequence to determine the ingrediants and calculate the amounts. The resulting formulation meets and exceeds WHO standards and has Silver (AgNano) and Pomegranate Extract (PE) which have been shown to destroy the cell walls and flagellum on fungus, spore, Staph, MRSA, Covid, and bacteria and viruses that make us sick. I know of no other formulation of body sanitizer with this much rigorous research applied. This formulation softens and protects the skin and controls the spread of Covid while creating a barrier to all microbes and germs when used as directed. Yes, it's a novelty. No, this formulation has not been tested by any agency. There are no claims made on behalf of this or any of my products: Use at your own risk. I use it frequently throughout the day and before and after hand washing. The gel stays on a long time for extra microbicide action, pleasant lavender smell...even a cute sticker to designate which is yours!
Sales of our body sanitizer now fund our 3D printing PPE donation program. All monies received from Body Sanitizer sales are used to purchase filament, maintain machines, procure materials and packaging, and promote the health and wellbeing of those in need during this pandemic. Each box (6ct) of Body Sanitizer sold donates one respirator mask or one face-shield. Each case (24ct) Body Sanitizer sold donates 4 masks and 4 shields to front-line, essential, and medical workers at area hospitals of "hot spot" areas. Lead time is long (15 Days+) right now due to materials shortages, shipping restrictions, and fluctuating costs. I will design and make and give as much and as long as I can. Once I am able to return to my clinical roles, I will. Check the website frequently for service updates and product availablity.
